We’re taking 2400 tons of plastic out of the Yamuna.
We’re pushing plastic out of the river and into our cement kilns as fuel.

Plastic in our water bodies is causing irreversible damage. That’s why two cement giants - ACC and Ambuja Cement came together to solve this problem. What emerged was the lightest approach from the companies known for strength: a bubble curtain. Channeled bubbles oust plastic to a collection after which it’s ecologically co-processed in cement plants. All without harming marine life. In the pilot project, at Mantola canal in Agra, it’s expected to remove 2400 tons of plastic. With more cities slated to receive their own bubble barrier. This initiative is in line with the government’s Swacch Bharat movement. And a big step to realizing our vision of a better tomorrow.
